I'm sure this has been covered before, I have searched so shoot me down if you like.
Has anyone converted an SE's lights to the regular Cavalier lights? Idea on cost? would it affect the value?
I'm in the market for a very nice Griff and a couple of SE's look very nice but I cannot love those rear lights, the dash I might be able to live with but the lights, no.
I'm also (and my wife) fussy on the colour combo as well, not helpful I know.

As no-one else has replied...in my view, as a long-time SE owner:

Yes it can be done
Cost - no idea but it wouldnt be that much
Yes - it would affect the value (reduce it....)

Personally I am quite happy with them and it certainly wouldn't put me off a car if everything else was right.

I would wait and find a non-SE you want.

Thanks, Appreciate the replies. I know it's a somewhat unreasonable view.

If thats all thats bothering you ( it would me too) go for it & replace the lights. The SE Cerbera Seats & headlights would be a big improvement, the standard seats in my Griff are awful!

Well I've bought an SE, I went to see one yesterday and she was perfect, immaculate, and the colour combination looked fantastic in the sun.
I have to say the rear lights looked much better in the flesh and SWMBO actually likes them so I won't be doing anything with them which is probably better for the car as well!

Looking forward to getting her home and out for a decent run when covid rules allow!

Looks a lovely car. Just being nosey really but what's the story behind it not having the Cerbera seats in?

Indeed it does look lovely, just wonder why it needed a full restoration in 2014 & who pinched the Cerbera seats!

Anyone out there with a pair they don't want please get in touch!

I don't know but as the car was owned by someone at Fernhurst I assume they swapped them as soon as delivered. I don't have the car yet so haven't poured over the history file. Presumably personal preference.
The restoration as you can see in the Fernies pictures is quite something, it looks brand new.
It will be good to get back into a Griff, I sold my last one in 2011 and have owned a Cerb for the past 10 years which has now gone to a new home.

Hi, I was looking into buying this car last year and found out that the seats were an original request from new by Fernhursts Account - the first owner.
