Hi

I need to replace the heater hoses, but I am not sure what diameter bore hose was originally fitted as the hose from the heater outlets needs to be 5/8" (15mm) and the hoses for the heater valve and water pipe to water pump seem to be 1/2" (13mm).

Do you know what size was originally fitted ?.

I have stripped the front end and am in the process of repainting the chassis etc., the bottom of the radiator is located by 2 posts, with rubber grommets and penny washers, split pins.

Do you know if the washers should be fitted between radiator and chassis or from underneath and kept in place with split pins ?.

I also have a query on a hose connected to the carb that has been blocked @ one end as it is not connected to anything, don't know if it should be connected to air filter housing, which has been replaced by k&n filer.

Do you know where this hose should be connected to ?

I take it this a small diameter vacuum hose, and not a water hose. If so, it is probably the vacuum line to the temperature controlled vacuum valve which alters the position of the air intake flap on the original air filter. This allows the intake to draw in warm air from around the exhaust manifold and so prevent carb icing in cold/damp weather. If you have a K&N, I would just leave it blanked.
