Have you checked, the voltage stabiliser is working correctly (the OE temp gauge and fuel gauge runs via this hot wire earth out dissipate unit, not readable unless you have a mean average meter) as this will build temperature over time (start the car and the battery is low, then the battery recovers and the alternator 13.8V builds the battery power back up and the gauge temp rises). Change the VS for a 10V output electronic version (they are then either working or not). A@
