Anyone happen to have, or know of a spare n/s reversing lens which is from the light cluster originally fitted to Scimitar SE5a/SE6 models ...

AV's stock ran out some 15 yrs back !

Have you tried Graham Walker (01244 381777) www.grahamwalker.co.uk or www.scimitar-parts.co.uk
I've used Graham Walker and he turner the order around and delivered in two days.

If you can't get another one and the only problem with your old one is the missing threaded part. I repaired one of mine on my Scimitar 10 years ago by getting a similar sized screw headed bolt and nut from B & Q. I then cut the screw head off and used some Araldite to glue it in. You can't see it from the outside.

Seems Walkers can supply ... Part Number 90085 £12.66 + VAT. however, taking Nigel's advice to try and repair the old one first ...

The main cause for so few of the seperate lens's not being available (the Lotus, Scimitar, TVR dealers at the time rarely like to stock these items) was that Aston Martin bought up excess stock from Lucas many years ago but Aston prices for the unit is sky high, but then the value of the parts is reflected in the value of the car (I do have many secondhand units but as with most of these they have broken studs ( which we are in the process of having made).
