With nothing on TV last night, for some reason I looked through the old MOTs for my car and realised how little mileage it had done in the last few years. only about 1200 miles from 1994 until 2001!

I've now done 13,600 miles in 9 months, so maybe the number of problems I've had isn't too suprising....the poor thing was woken from a long rest.

Has anyone else done a lot of mile in the last year in their 'M' or classic? (Krispy?)

my vixen had done just under 2500 miles between 1995 and dec 6th 2002 . . . .Ive done over 3000 since then, no wonder all the little gremlins are coming out.

things to do include break inspection calliper rebuild, new clutch, refresh engine (unleaded head) investigate vibration over 75mph, tracking, bonnet popping open, new tyres, more waxoyl, tidy up engine bay, and a few other bits. . . .shouldnt take long!

Bought mine after it had done 600 miles in 2 years. Used it every day for a year, did about 4000 miles. Did it break? Of course it did! But only twice. Well, OK, the other times were my fault...

After managing to finish about 2 jobs per month, my initial half-page jobs list now stands at, oh, 2 pages or so...

Lovely!

Try & do at least 20 miles a week in the Vixen now, and she seems to be working just fine, mainly on Sundays. As this nice Spring weather kicked in this week I took her out for a spin on Saturday, then on Sunday pulled her out of the garage and the fuel hose had split, pouring petrol all over the place. - Bummer!

Im doing at least 1 trip to work and back a week plus joyriding on weekends. 65 to work and back is plenty to warm up . . . . . .and make the bonnet open twice!
