i'm trying to upgade the diff in a 2500m to a salisbury
as used in the 3000m. can the subframe that is used to mount the diff in the 3000m be used to mount the salisbury in the 2500m chassis? thanks.

Hi,

I pretty sure they are quite different. The sailisbury diff attaches to the chassis at the bottom as well.

Adrian Venn at Exactly TVR does a kit to fit a sailisbury diff into a TR6 equiped car.

Hope that helps!

I am sure it will be the same chassis and you will just need the cage to mount it in the chassis, as i can't see tvr making different chassis's. You may find you need to change the propshaft flange to match the salisbury diff.

Hi Frank
I did that job years ago !!!
First you have to take the body off to make good access because of the welding you have to do !!
Remove all the brackets mounted for the old diff!
Weld in stiffeners on the uppersite of the chassis (left and right). Than weld in two small plates on the uppersite (in the middle)
Now you made the connection for the V-bracket which is nessesary for the diff.
Than you have to weld in a bar in the lower chassis which make the connection with the second bracket which I call the U-bracket !!
Than you have to buy 4 special rubbers (David Gerald)
to install the whole lot !
Change propshaft and driveshafts to fit on diff.
It is a lot of work but not difficult !!
I think David Gerald supplies everything !
good luck !
