Now that the warmer weather is here, some of the 30-odd year old bits have decided to give up the ghost.

I'm looking for a source for direct replacement bonnet strikes (cone-ended shaft attached to the bonnet that mate with the latch on the firewall) for a 1972 Vixen 2500. The only ones that I've found so far are from an M series and require the mounting bracket on the underside of the bonnet to be modified. Anyone know of a source for the original type?

No idea what they are from but if following the TVR standard routine then they must be from something dead common, try a mini!

The bonnet catches and strikers are listed as from an Anglia 105E on John Upham's parts list - www.tvrvixen.org.uk - haven't seem too many of those on this side of the Atlantic, though.

having just stripped and re profiled mine, Id say theyd be very easy to make, you could probably sketch them up and have a pair made for £20 by a local machine shop
