That looks as if it took you a long time to file to shape William;)I hope you are going to change that horrible pressed bottom pulley with a solid steel Burton one?? those have an annoying habit of disintegrating on a tuned engine.

Hi William,
I am currently restoring a similar car. And by that I mean VERY similar : TVR Grantura MkI - 7FS120 !!!!
Car now has a 1500 MG A engine (no trace of the original Ford block & supercharger ...)
Could you send me your E-mail address, I will send you some photos of our work ... Yes, a 'Body off' affair, and conversion to bolt on body ...
Here's how to get in touch with me : dirk.ghys1@telenet.be
Best regards and good luck with the car !

Right !! Here the modification on the exhaust to make space for the supercharger.
Supercharger positioned.
Exhaust manifold finished.
Propshaft had to be modified because engine position is more to the front to make space between tapered chassistubes for shorrock supercharger
TBC
Finally.....body in place

she looks really great!
Did you cut the body behind the b-pillar or are you using a replacement-section?
Well, what happened is, the midsection was so bad and in a horrible condition that I had to cut it off. So the original '59 GRP parts are the tail, the bonnet and the doors. The body part you see on the pics , except for doors and yellow tail is a replacement from a MK2 which I had on shelf for many years. I glue the pieces together and will stay there for the next 50 years. And, important to say, the top of the dashboard will also be removed because the Mk1 dashboard top was completely different. And offcourse I do have the original MK1 dash incl.original gauges.Did you cut the body behind the b-pillar or are you using a replacement-section?
I am picking up the restoration again after 1 year doing other things.
Started to line-up the belts for the Shorrock.
10mm out of line. I think I have to bend the white bracket 10 mm forward to bring the "double pulleys in line.
This is cheaper than making a custom new pulley for the shorrock I think.
Anyway, I am back in restoration and planning to have the car re-sprayed this year.

Jumping on this thread - sorry for the hijack! What do you guys think the Mk1 at Nadder Valley Classics is worth?
Be interseting to see how much opinions differ on the value of this car, it is of course only worth what someone else will pay for it but there is very little to guide the market. Some will look at MkIII prices and think they have some bearing?
Whatever it sells for, I hope it is bought by someone that will appreciate what it is.
