Can anyone recommend an Insurance company for a 3000S in Scotland? I received a quote from the 'Official' advert in SPRINT at around 400 quid, which seemed a bit steep - car is garaged, low mileage, single driver (over 40), 1979, average value but doesn't have an alarm.

Is there an equivalent to S.Heath's S Bible, for 3000 series ?

My 3000S (garaged in Bucks, 3000 limited mileage, me and the wife (both over 40), 1979, £8000 agreed value and doesn't have an alarm) is insured through Footman James for £169.

Tried a few
Direct Line - 400
TVR CC - 310
Peart - 253
Sunninghill - 215
Footman James - 213
ClassicLine (u/w Royal Sun All) - 186 inc breakdown cover, so went with them

I have a Taimar and 350i on one policy with Footman James.Just under £400 for 6000 mile cover betwen the two. Must say their claim service is excellent. I was rear ended in my 350 on the way back from gang on the green, and they were very helpfull and let me choose my repairer (TVR bodyshop)
