Acquired the tuscan about four months ago MOT due 1.5.2004 three service stations were unable to do the test due to the clearance on thier rolling road, exhaust bottoming out. After much discussion with the ministry they allowed the brakes to be tested with a Taplin Meter, what ever that is. Anyone else experienced this problem ?

I have the same problem with my Vixen. The MOT station I use take it out for a drive and use a meter to test the brakes. Probably a Taplin Meter only I don't know it's name. They also used to use this on my old Range Rover as the rolling road only did one axle at a time and it tends to upset cars with permanent 4 wheel drive.

Ditto, with my old Taimar, couldn't get the rears tested on the rolling drums (car grounded heavily (centre box) driving over it! (but did only have 3inches of ground clearance on the centre box!)
