There was an exclusive test day at Oulton Park earlier this week. I popped along and shot this video.

Thank you, great video. Quite an action packed first test day.

Thanks. It was a bit of a learning experience but looking to do a few more over the year.

Planning on attending Oulton on BH Monday.
See there is a 'display' car parking area. Anybody used this before?

I guess IM will have a presence there somewhere.

Hoping its a warm one!

Thanks very much to IM for tickets for Oulton Park. Is there any hospitality available at SRO on the Saturday or is it just Monday?

Will be my first visit to Oulton Park on Monday, didn't realise they had the British F3 and F4 on as well. Thought they F4 supported the BTCC. Any recommendations on wheres good for viewing?

Just Monday I'm afraid! No problem and enjoy! I won't be able to make it (going back to Portugal tomorrow) but Nik will be there. Thinking about it, that will probably make it even more enjoyable!

Cheers. It was a great day. The sun shone and the racing was fantastic. It was a lot busier than I expected. Looking forward to Monday. Enjoy Portugal!

It may be worth mentioning that British GT isn’t the only IM Racing going on tomorrow so for anyone that hasn’t made it to Oulton, you can watch the live stream of the IMR Cayman racing at Donington Park from around 2.45, just have a click here - https://www.750mc.co.uk/live.htm

You spoke too soon.

The Ginetta GT5 guys must be a bit miffed, with one racing lap

What was the deal with the merc crossing the line 1st but not being on the podium?

He didn't seem to pick up a penalty for driving incident ?

I didnt hear them explain it over the tannoy commentary but it was to do with the driver changes. The fastest driver combos have a success delay built into their minimum pitstop time, so they might need to be sat in the pits for 7 seconds longer for example. As the driver changes were performed under the red flag, they still needed to observe the delay, so the top two had it added at the end of the race. Seems a shame but I can understand the reasoning. Would have been nice to have known about it as race 2 part 2 was still running!

The chap doing the trackside commentary seemed a touch out of the loop with a few things relating to the restart, he was saying how they had no information on certain things after I had been reading that exact information on the British GT twitter page.

The TV commentary guys had it well covered, sounds like the tannoy crew didn't have the same timing info to hand.

Using the pitstop length as your handicapping is a nice idea in normal circumstances (most spectators don't need to even know about it to follow the race) although in race one it seems some people's stopwatches were a bit 'fast'.

Good racing yesterday but very busy there - pretty much BTCC levels of crowd I thought. Here's a few of my photos:-
