Thanks very much to IM for tickets for Oulton Park. Is there any hospitality available at SRO on the Saturday or is it just Monday?
Just Monday I'm afraid! No problem and enjoy! I won't be able to make it (going back to Portugal tomorrow) but Nik will be there. Thinking about it, that will probably make it even more enjoyable!JulianPH said:

What was the deal with the merc crossing the line 1st but not being on the podium?
He didn't seem to pick up a penalty for driving incident ?
I didnt hear them explain it over the tannoy commentary but it was to do with the driver changes. The fastest driver combos have a success delay built into their minimum pitstop time, so they might need to be sat in the pits for 7 seconds longer for example. As the driver changes were performed under the red flag, they still needed to observe the delay, so the top two had it added at the end of the race. Seems a shame but I can understand the reasoning. Would have been nice to have known about it as race 2 part 2 was still running! He didn't seem to pick up a penalty for driving incident ?
The chap doing the trackside commentary seemed a touch out of the loop with a few things relating to the restart, he was saying how they had no information on certain things after I had been reading that exact information on the British GT twitter page.
The TV commentary guys had it well covered, sounds like the tannoy crew didn't have the same timing info to hand.
Using the pitstop length as your handicapping is a nice idea in normal circumstances (most spectators don't need to even know about it to follow the race) although in race one it seems some people's stopwatches were a bit 'fast'.
