according to this weeks "motorsport news" newspaper the 2 drivers are, Amanda Stretton and former BTCC driver ANNIE TEMPLETON!!!! OMG, they cant let her touch it! she couldnt even drive a FWD 150bhp 1,000kg peugeot 306, let alone a 500bhp RWD viper 1,300kg!
I really think its a bad move to let her touch it, she must have sum money!

Vicky Butler Henderson could also drive alongside the pair at the longer races such as the Spa 1000km.

For Gods sake 'Viperman'....get off Annies back, she's a lovely lady who's out there doing it....not talking or writing about it. Its a good idea, good for the Championship, and its a Viper out there. Enough.....Please.

Evening Shorty, just wanted to say that the Mosler(s) looks fantastic - cracking paint job. Looks like you've got it running on the pace too, damn you. See you next week.

Steve @ Eclipse.

Ps; I do share, to an extent, Viperman's unease at Ms Templeton - nice lady though I'm sure she is - pedalling a bloody great Viper. I wish her the very best, all the same. To see someone moving from touring cars to GTs has got to be a good sign for the future.

The line up looks great - cant wait for "battle to commence" guys - good luck to you all
Oh and if a boy can move up from a white suit and dance routines to driving one of our beloved TVRs then why not BTCC to GT? (Shane - respect)
Great to see an all girl team out there - yahoo
Looking forward to blagging a cuppa with VBH?

I spoke to Annie at length yesterday and to say she's looking forward to it would be a serious understatement! Suffice to say that she wasn't a fan of either her Peugeot 306 or of the driving standards in the BTCC!!

She's no stranger to hairy old cars either - she regularly pedals (and wins in) a pre-war methanol fuelled MG single seater racer - If she was a bloke we'd be saying what big b*llocks you need to even get into a thing like that.

The car is fantastic - Stephen Watson was giving Track runs to journos yesterday - you can read my impressions of that on dsc Viperman!

The team are a great bunch, the girls are very realistic - It will take time for them to settle in but I for one am delighted to have the car and the novel approach in the championship.

Agreed, hows the saleen in drag coming along Martin?

Taking bets now for how long it should take for you to lap the entire field at Donnington if you are running in the GTO class.

No its a GT class car - it will have to stop twice during the 75 minute races - once for a driver change and then again for a fuel stop - the GTO cars will only have to stop once

oh, cool, im glad they havent tamed the beast! but surely if the driver change takes the same time as a GTO car or cup car, the GT car will have a greater advantage, and fuel wouldnt take that long to put in will it, god i have so many questions!!! all will be answered next weekend!
