Well - what did everyone think? Been strangely quiet around these parts today...

I though Lee Caroline's car control on the grass, sideways, down the pit straight at about 100mph for 200 yards was nothing short of phenomenal. When he first went sideways we were convinced we were about to see a big accident into the wall, but he kept his foot in and held the slide for an unbeliveable distance before getting back on the black stuff and winning the race.
Awesome.

The only downside to Silverstone (apart from a paddock bar that shut at 7pm) was just 6 laps for the sprint race and 8 for the feature race. Long track yes - but 12 minutes of racing is a bit short!

griff2b come along to the next EERC round, or better yet come to the Wilhire at Snetterton on June 28th 9hrs of racing for your pleasure. Great racing to boot as well, see the GT section for a race rpt from Donnington. all round !!

As a thought one of the 2hrs rounds might be a good way for you to get the Tuscan out for a few laps? it's not that expensive and rather than do the full 2hrs you could look to run for say 15-20mins come in spanner check the car etc. then head back out for another session. Good way to get a feel for the car on track before sitting on grid with 18-20 other Tuscans.

It seemed to go on for ever as far as I was concerned, but I agree, 6 laps was a touch short, 8/10 would have been fine. Mind you, if the main race had been over 10 laps, I don't think I could have kept Giles Cooper and Steve Hyde behind me, they where giving me some heavy duty defending to do !!!!!

grif2be ignore my comment about the EERC, just double checked the regs and unless the car has a lid they won't let you in otherwise it's avery cheap way to get some very good track time in and make use of the old tires Dunlop get rid of after each Tuscan race

You mean like the Castle Coombe GT's (Moonraker Forklift) - where just about anything goes? The Tuscan can run in that and I was hoping that (like last year) this coincided with the Tuscan weekend, but sadly not.
