There has been a lot of clean racing today, I don't think I saw any of the usual bump-in-the-braking-zone passing.

I was just thinking that. Don't expect it to last though. biggrin

Really happy for Motorbase. First NGTC win and all three cars in the points!

What on earth was Plato thinking trying to get back to the pits like that?!

Probably get it to the garage to give the team maximum work time, rather than have it stranded elsewhere on the circuit.

Steve neals comments were out of order.
What a c**k, next time build a better car, next time matt has a serious accident and the marshals save his life I wonder if he would slag them off then!? Next time build a better car and it won't go bang!

Matt Neal's dad sounds a bit of a wker, those marshals aren't paid, they're volunteers. They were right there as soon as Neal pulled up.

No need for that just because your car's just gone up in flames.
Jump down and put yourself between a fire and a wall, or fight it from a safer place?
Nasty thing to say, marshalls give up a huge amount of free time to sit at the side of a track in all weathers, waiting to assist people.
Matt Neal's dad a wker? No surely not! Well Matt and his father showed their true colours in that little episode. Neither particularly pleasant at that moment.

Would be surprised if someone doesn't have a word with Neal Sr, not good PR for the series.

Renaults giving the best entertainment so far.

Agree - hopefully he'll apologies. Not the sort of comments I would think the team want to be associated with.

Farcical event though - Plato steaming ahead to ensure the final weekend 'showdown'.

Have to say after coming back to BTCC fandom 3/4 years ago, I'm losing interest again - went to several meetings last year, this year I will only be going to Brands in a fortnight and only because I got a free ticket. Its a soap not racing now.
Apology now on Honda Racing Team facebook page. Would be nice for Matt to mention it in race 3 build up/post race interview

Hmmm, I'd rather see an apology from Steve rather than the blonde bird sat in the PR room!.....maybe he should spend a day on the bank and see how fast HE can run with his brittle old bones?!

Agree, hence second part of my post. Better than nothing however.

+ A sizable donation to the Marshal Safety fund or the Marshals Club methinks.

Just had a look there. Rolling my eyes at the fanboys sticking up for Steve Neal. Some people shouldn't be allowed to use the internet.

Steve Neal acting like a massive bell end?....nothing new there then.

I don't think people should get carried away with Jackson winning. No ballast, lots of boost, lots of misfortune for others. It's not in the class of Soper coming from the back in what seemed like every round in 92!
Er, I'm sitting next to the man who engineered Soper back then and Mat today and he begs to differ!!

Edited for accuracy....

Probably not, matt hasn't done anything to us. Next time I see Steve I might soak him with an extinguisher and ask him if that was a fast enough response for him though!

Who is this muppet doing the grid walk?
My 5 year old cousin would ask better questions to the dunlop guy.
