Hope to be there. Is there any camping? I did camp for the 50th TVR Anniversary in 1997 but haven't been since and the facilities were err not great. It may have inmproved since then. It's a fair trek from Birmingham.
Also, is that bar still open for Saturday night???

I'm sure the Kentagon will be open on Saturday night.

I had a wigging from the Clerk of the Course last year. Allegedly my Jeep was spotted attempting to enter the doors of the Kentagon during a rainstorm at around closing time on the Saturday eveing. Numerous people were allegedly seen to get into my vehicle, which allegedly transported them to the Insane Racing awning where allegedly there was a party to celebrate Lee Caroline's championship win in the Tuscans.

I have no knowledge of these events

No Paul

I was carrying out a public service in driving revellers from the bar to the awning, due to a persistent rain shower.

I was asked to bring the vehicle closer to the entrance to the bar, so that said revellers would not get wet.

I did not mean to drive the vehicle inside the bar.

I have nothing further to add, m'lud.

I never drink the night before a race.

Allegedly.

I could name several family cars that will handle and go around corners better than a standard Corvette. Nothing to brag about!

The timetable for Sunday is now on the Brands site - I assume there is a GT race at around 17:00 on the Saturday - just planning our week and the BBQ (only a disposable so don't get your hopes up).
Just phoned them and it starts at 17:30 - it'll be bloody dark by then!!!!!

That'll be us racing in the dark twice then .

As one of the few confirmed championships that will be on GT/F3 next year, can't see why the Ginettas keep getting the bump slots.

The logic goes out even further when there are 30 confirmed cars on the grid, with, in this instance, a big support push from Dunlop, hardly unentertaining stuff, especially around the Brands Hatch 400m running track!

Thanks for the offer - but after a dismal Thruxton I'm fired up for this one - even if it is in the middle of the night .

As the forecast for Sunday is less than not good, at least we can hope that all the rain has cleared before we go on last.

Racing in the dark can be fun/fast.

Back in the late eighties I was marshalling for the Scottish Motor Racing Club, last meeting of year, late October, Ingliston just outside Edinburgh. For those never to have experienced Ingliston, narrow track through the Royal Highland Showground, the inside of the track was 90% open, the rest "enclosed" by armco and a very large number of trees and telegraph poles "protected" by tyres.

Last race of the day was the road saloons which, allegedly, had to have passed an MOT. Most had front lights which were about as bright as a candle.

It was now getting very dark but this is club racing so the race went ahead, they still managed to set a new lap record .

Kenneth.

Although none of the G20s have any headlights at all... Fingers crossed, but doesn't look too good for either of the 'evenings'...
