GT at Brands Hatch

Spoke to Graham Morris yesterday (owner of said Lotus Elise GT1), I first met Graham at GFOS 2003 where the GT1 was on display in the Supercar Class, (as was my Z06). The GT1 did have a Corvette ZR1 engine at one point of it's development as the rules for GT1 kept changing. It is a beautiful car and looks fantastic in the flesh and Graham is such a nice bloke too. How did Ed (Graham's son) get on in the 2nd Ginetta race yesterday? Think he came 7th in the 1st race.
Eddy Morris:-
Race 4 (Saturday) - N/C
Race 5 (Sunday) - 7th
Race 15 (Sunday) - 6th
Apart from qualifying and the first race at Combe (which was only just after his 16th birthday), he's been pretty consistently fast. Should be able to challenge the former front runners next season (i.e. the front runners before messers Austin and Ferrier came in to make us all look ordinary).
As he is doing a lot of racing, and is still young, watch this space for the future.

Ah, young Eddie
Daydreamer, are you okay - think it was you that seemed to take quite a big impact in the tyre wall just before Paddock Hill?? Think it was partially due to the Dunlop Car driver of that race spinning on the start finish straight..
Not too happy about that one. Lost five places under yellow flags - which was annoying enough. Then went round the inside of the Dunlop car at the last corner, side by side down the straight, and braked several cars later than said Dunlop car into Padock Hill. Quite proud of myself at this point - I'm usually more of a lunge at the hairpin sort of overtaker .
Anyway - imagine my surprise - when turning in I get a clout at the back. No idea how or why this was possible, but I guess he was back on the gas due to braking too early. (He was also very sore in that someone had put a blue car on the bit of the straight that he wanted to use coming over the line).
Don't mind racing incidents, but this was just unnecessary. One or two people got a bit of an earful when I eventually made it back to the padock.
On a lighter note, many thanks to all those that came to say hello over the weekend. It is really appreciated, even though we may have appeared a bit preocupied - what with having to rebuild a car and all that. Sorry that with three (count 'em ) non finishes, I didn't really give anyone anything to cheer about.
