Happy New Year indeed ! ! Two weeks to go Here's hoping for a cracker of a WRC season.
Looking and sounding more like a contender now . . . .

The WRC Polo still looks better though

Should be a great year in the WRC.
Let's hope it is, and that the sport becomes more visible. Then more big money sponsors will turn up - instead of silly Spanish rumours.
And while it's 3 weeks to the Monte, the ERC starts on Friday, with the Jannerrallye - Kubica is entered in a Fiesta RRC.

So Day 1 (SS1-6) is 2 weeks today and I'll be there!!!!
Highlights will be on ITV4. Hopefully at a more consitent time though this year! There was talk of live TV and web coverage, but there hasn't been anything confirmed yet.
I see the incompetent idiots at the FIA are back to their old tricks again, awarding the JWRC to Citroen which will double the budget for a season by a minimum of %50! Also the deal has been done too late to include the first 2 rounds of the season. Im guessing there has been a few secret handshakes going on in Paris..

Don't know whether this should be in the WRC thread, or in it's own, but not sure if enough people would interested in the 'feeder series'.
Anyway, it's the start of competitive Motorsport for 2014. The 31st Jannerrallye in Austria.
Kubica is entered for gaining experience of changeable tarmac conditions.
Highlights on Eurosport tonight & tomorrow, when they decide to put it on......

Watched it on TV last year, lashing it down with rain and dull as ditchwater (even with Delecour driving in the event)Don't know whether this should be in the WRC thread, or in it's own, but not sure if enough people would interested in the 'feeder series'.

You can imagine Malcolm now :
"Robert, we know you're incredibly quick, but we think there's still some room for improvement in the consistency stakes . . . ."

That was pretty good, I do like some good honest slippery tarmac stages. Obviously Eurosport have the ERC but do we know yet who will be showing the WRC?Don't know whether this should be in the WRC thread, or in it's own, but not sure if enough people would interested in the 'feeder series'.

An impressive victory by all accounts, BUT his jump start put extra and uneccessary pressure on himself, that showed up in what could've been a massive off/accident when he ran wide, damaged his lights, and then went off the road whilst trying to turn them off. There's no doubting his outright speed, and in my mind there never has been, he just needs to temper it with a more measured approach. His Fiesta looked great in the Lotos livery
