Strangely the third race isn't being shown at all by BT Sport at all!?!
But it's live on ESPN-HD and delayed on MotorsTV tomorrow.....

Second half of race one was crazy! Post race interview with one of the drivers was interesting too, wouldn't hear that sort of thing in F1!

The big race was a bit 'drive-through-tastic'. I wonder if some drivers putting a wheel on the dirt on the way into the pits was enough to shorten the distance covered by the timing loop and in turn make the system think they had a higher average speed?

Something was definitely not right yesterday, far too many cars all being punished for pit lane speeding. Will be interesting to see if the teams release telemetry to show that they weren't...

Gutted for Mclaughlan, the guy wouldn't know luck if it came and smacked him in the mouth this weekend.

I'm sure it was the cutting of the chicane between the timing loop points, although some penalties were given out based on the guy with the speed gun. Coulthard definitely cut the chicane when he got pinged. They should have put the tyre bundles right by the tarmac so you couldn't do it.

Massive coverage here - 7 hours of it.

Confusing mix of fantastic racing including NZ V8 Touring Cars, NZ V8 Supertourers, V8 Utes, V8 Musclecars and V8 Supercars - so, they like V8's in New Zealand.

I imagine a heady smell of petrol and smelly rubber at Pukekohe + a sharp rise in BP's share price.

Great racing and another 5 hours of it today.

Mark Skaife commentary:

"After a brief lift they turn in blind, foot back flat on the throttle, 100% committed, they can't see the apex or exit at all and they're sideways approaching 200kph!"

Having recently got Motors TV access on Freeview I've started watching the V8 Supercar series. Wow! Proper close racing without needlessly banging into one another, they sound brilliant, rear wheel drive just utterly excellent! Just wish BTCC was like this!

Now one of my favourite series to watch!

So, has someone been complaining? Or is the governing body aware that some cars are 'better' than others and trying to redress the balance?

I can only assume that the Mercedes and Nissan teams may be looking for some 'help'.

Ford are feeling very hard done by too. The Volvo looks the best of the bunch to me at the moment.
