Is that your desk? A neighbour has his livingroom full with Vipers . . .

Display cabinet in my study at home. The philistines here at work would get them out and go brrrrroooom brrroooom round the carpet with them.

Only I'm allowed to do that!

<pedant mode> It was actually from Maison Blanche, about 2 miles from the pits. Pretty awsome battery and starter motor though. Thank gawd he did run out, otherwise Jaguar No.2 would not have made me cry....

Bloody pedant! I remember that two laps were lost, but I wasn't sure where the car stopped. All the time they were fighting back, then they lost a turbo, then fought back again, then the rain came, and after each set back Stuck and co were getting closer and closer. I only heard the hourly updates on Radio 2 (Simon Taylor?), so the suspense was terrible.

One more hour, No.17 needed just one more hour...

Group C really was the finest racing - which is why Bernie killed it by imposing the 3.5 litre engine rule. From 35+ car grids to 9 cars in three seasons.

Interesting that most people remember the sportscars livery rather than F1. In this day and age of brand equity, surely sportscars are better vehicles (cringe) to use as mobile placcards?

Bring back Group C!!!!

Bellof in a 956 anywhere...Stuck on slicks at a wet Le Mans in a 962...Brundle in an XJR14 at Silverstone...spiritual events.

Its a lot easier doing a livery for a GT type car, rather than a single seater. Things like wheels, drivers and radiators get in the way

But on F1 side, the original Jaguar livery, the West McLaren livery and the old Warsteiner livery of the Arrows were all pretty smart (as well as the aforementioned Jordan 191)

I always liked the simplicity of the Marlboro livery, especially in later years. On McLarens, BMW M1, Porsche 956s, Porsche GT1, McLaren F1 (China '96) and even a BMW M3 touring car, that simple dayglow red and white is superb.

There are loads of sportscar colour schemes that are brilliant - I'll try to post some images later on.

one of mine , although it wasn't hard, more just the placement and wether the Marlboro on the side should have been angled or not

Hoe about the JPS Lotus. Any of them, but particularly the 78 with the Andretti helmet sticking out of the top.

78 looked great. Not sure which chassis, but when Essex withdraw most of their support they had a race where most of the car was Black and Gold, but it had Courage on the side. Thats looks quite good.

On the subject of Lotus, I seem to remember the Martini Racing Lotus looking quite smart

Lotus 87 I think, can't find a photo though so I think it was a part season livery.
