What do you think? I just got an email telling me I have got into the first stage of the formula woman competition. This means I get a day with an instructor, some karting, a fitness test and a general knowledge test...the catch is its £50.

Should I do it or not? I know some have had bad experiences with the comp but I entered as I dont have much money to spend on driving and thought this could be a good way of getting some experience for little outlay...

Go for it! Might end up on telly too.

Judging by last year's competition it struck me that the range of talent is somewhat divided - half of the grid is very good, the others seemed to be making up numbers. As a PHer I can't see it being too difficult to get yourself at least half way up the grid

Thanks! I made a phone call to 'the formula woman hotline' and then got an application form sent through.

I think I will do it, even if I dont get seleected its a lot cheaper than a day on track would be!

Will let you know how it goes

I've just checked your profile Lucien and, may I ask, are you really 13 or is that a subtle joke that I completely missed? If that is your drawing and you are 13 you will go far. Keep studying hard, never lose that great sense of humour of yours (I read your post re-school pranks ) and above all, keep your dreams alive
