I always support the underdog.

When Minardi bagged a point it was like they had just won the race!!

Long may they continue.

Some might ask the question, what's the point of Ferrari?

Now that is a good question.

It offers some evidence that Brits can survive and even thrive in Italy/Italian. That not all French Management is Xenophobic. That the Germans and Brazilians produce great drivers and that a load of money invested (and some excellent facilities) can be expended wisely enough to produce consistent success.

And along with Minardi it shows that a few Italians can wield the odd spanner, lash up some pasta and, err ... make great coffee as was mentioned earlier.

Oh, and they provide a nice advertising hoarding for the cash cow that is Vodaphone.

Thats what I like about Minardi. When they score a point you get this great feeling. Even if they finish above a Jordan you feel like they have beaten the odds. And in my book thats what sport is all about.

I race RBG in the 750mc championship, i will never trouble the front 1/2 of the grid but i'll still turn up and leave with a smile, i do it cos i enjoy it, without the back half of a grid there would be no front 1/2.

Long live Minardi.
