Thank you Chris. Is it one minute when stationary or total pit in/ out?
Straight from the regulations:Britcar said:
3.9.4.1 ALL mandatory pit stops in The 2014 Britcar Trophy Series will carry a minimum time period of 60 seconds measured
from the pit in loop to the pit out loop. Timing of pit stops are the team’s responsibility 4.1.3 I.
Each car must complete ONE Mandatory pit stop during the race. This time will be as per the MSA Official timekeepers. Cars not completing this stop are subject to a penalty as detailed in rule 4.1.3 I. The timing of all pit stops will be done by timing beams or timing loops in the track at the entrance of the Pit Lane and the Pit Exit. The total time taken by a competing car between these two points in the pit lane will determine the length of the pit stops. These times are recorded by the appointed Licensed Timekeepers. Pit Lane speeds will be monitored. It is the sole responsibility of the team to manage the stop/s. Any team shortening their pitstop from the regulated time will receive a penalty.
Its very easy to get it wrong and end up being penalised!from the pit in loop to the pit out loop. Timing of pit stops are the team’s responsibility 4.1.3 I.

Are you the guy I met at Brands with Team HARD?Chris.

That's where your pit-to-car radio works a treat.
- In practice, get the crew chief to time the drive from the box to pit exit and the driver calls the line at pit exit (T1)
- In the race, driver on the way in calls the pit lane entry line for the crew chief to start the stopwatch
- Crew chief releases the car from the box at 60-T1, and counts down the driver to the pit lane exit line to get it just right
Simples !

Britcar Trophy is changing to 2 x 45-minute race format for 2015 and will become a Championship. There are to be six UK rounds plus an optional trip to Spa for two 120-minute races - interesting if you want to do the driving on your own! For most events all of the racing will be on the Sunday. Calendar here - but look away now if you don't like Silverstone!

Anyone know what the race entry fees are, cant seem to find them on website.
Lewis
I'd also like to know costs for the Britcar trophy champs (2 x 45min races per round). It looks like once Britcar have got the registrations they will calculate costs per car and issue entry fees. I completely understand why, but it is not that helpful when deciding what to enter in 2015 with cost being a key factor - as it always is in motorsport. Guidance would be useful.Lewis
Its best if you contact James as the price will vary depending on how many rounds you intend to do and whether you're willing to pay up front.
