Don't think the Red Bull's were running flat out even in the shootout. They'll be up at the front come Adelaide. Just behind the Volvo hopefully
You mean sandbagging?I thought so too, quite slidey but a deliberate poke of the throttle at the wrong time can easily make them do that.
I can't see them being anywhere other than challenging, and probably winning the title again if anything short of pure bad luck happens.
I've never really watched the V8 racing as i'm a fan of the F1 and have always assumed (due to my ignorance) that the driving is boring and the cars are slower so there won't be much action.
However, I have only heard good things about this sport so i am wanting to try and get into it as i love anything with an engine in it. Maybe 2015 is the year

You'll love it Dan, it beats F1 hands down imho and I've been watching F1 for over 35 years !However, I have only heard good things about this sport so i am wanting to try and get into it as i love anything with an engine in it. Maybe 2015 is the year
Always had a love of the Bathurst 1000 but I've been into V8 Supercars properly for about 10 years, only a week to go to the 500
Cant wait

You're missing out on a lot of good motorsport with that logic dude. However, I have only heard good things about this sport so i am wanting to try and get into it as i love anything with an engine in it. Maybe 2015 is the year

Dan, if you don't want your F1 viewing ruined then you probably shouldn't watch V8 Supercars, the production and commentary are so much more polished and dynamic that it makes F1 seem aloof and dreary. However, I have only heard good things about this sport so i am wanting to try and get into it as i love anything with an engine in it. Enjoy.

Not to mention how much better the racing is!And, if you think it's rednecks racing iron girder cars that any muppet could master ask Jaques Villeneuve (you know, the handy chap with a F1 drivers title and Indy car world title under his belt) he competed in some of the 2012 Supercar events and said it was one of the most difficult series he'd ever driven in - and he finished, erm, nowhere.
God, I can't wait.

Looks like it's going to be a great season. I live ten minutes from Barbagallo Raceway for the Perth Supersprint and have my 3 day passes all sorted!
Stef
You lucky git!! As others have said this is one of, if not THE best motor racing series in the world (2nd only to drag racing ) and I cannot wait for it all to kick off again, just hope Motors tv keep to the timing scheduleStef

Double pole for Whincup tomorrow. His pace looks very ominous for this weekend at least.
In a league of his own - very ominous - youve got to hand it to the fella.Van Gissy looking good too.
1/3rd of a second in this series normally wouldn't separate the top ten, Whincup has that margin over his nearest rival and what's with his teammate being nearly a second slower in Q1?
McLaughlin was outstanding in the mighty Volvo.
But can anyone get near Whincup this weekend?
And how many will collect the wall at the terrifying turn 8?
