I didn't hear it, did it involve a banjo?
It sounded like she'd swallowed one or two.

Very exciting race so far.

L9ve the idea of not throwing a caution immediatly if the driver/track is OK. Something for f1 to consider?

Well this is all very exciting! It must annoy Grosjean that Ericsson has won a few races and the Indy 500, yet he hasn't won a race yet.

It was always going to be a big ask with the full course caution stuffing the two stop strategy.

How did he use 3 minutes of push to pass in so few laps??

Got to feel for Grosjean

Fast car, but he just can’t seem to catch a break

I do wonder if Grosjean had a glitch on the PTP.

He said he had 99 seconds, then looked at the dash and it was zero.

A real shame for him if so, he did everything he could to win.

That said, I'm delighted for Scott, a 3 stop means flat out the entire race and they made it work, even without the yellows, it would have been a close thing.

That was a thoroughly enjoyable race.

It was a good race. Pato O’Ward looking good, Herta, the great hope for American F1 spectacularly failing to impress. Again.

Yes it's good that Indycar tries to give every team one chance to put before throwing the full course yellow. F1 is a different beast because unlike Indycar they don't initially close the pits when the safety car is deployed. In F1 your aim is to pit after the safety car is deployed but before it picks up the leader and packs field.

It was another entertaining race on Sunday at Barber. Given the heavy emphasis on qualifying and difficulty in passing there was plenty of good racing action. The race running clean without too many disruptions by FCY really helps as it allows tire and fuel strategies to play out creating performance differences between cars.

He's been off form since his race strategist dad was moved to (2023 race winner) team mate Kyle Kirkwood.

Unnoticed by tv and commentary, Ilott had a storming last stint, having fuel saved early in the race, his last stint saw quite a few overtakes;

Lundgaard having an impressive weekend so far (hope I don't jynx him).

Grosjean and McLaughlin once again stuck together but strangely not at all competitive. This is the kind of track would have expected Grosjean to have shined at.

Completely forgot that the Indy GP race was this evening. And it looks like my Sky box hasn't recorded it. FFS.

I was out last night but recorded it - is this worth a full watch or just highlights?

Managed to catch a re-run last night. As said, an interesting strategy race, if not a spectacularly exciting one. Arrow McLaren showing the way while Penske and Andretti seem all at sea. With Indy no longer giving double points many drivers are still in with a good shout including my shout for the championship, O'Ward.
