I do wonder if Grosjean had a glitch on the PTP.
He said he had 99 seconds, then looked at the dash and it was zero.
A real shame for him if so, he did everything he could to win.
That said, I'm delighted for Scott, a 3 stop means flat out the entire race and they made it work, even without the yellows, it would have been a close thing.
That was a thoroughly enjoyable race.

Very exciting race so far.
L9ve the idea of not throwing a caution immediatly if the driver/track is OK. Something for f1 to consider?
Yes it's good that Indycar tries to give every team one chance to put before throwing the full course yellow. F1 is a different beast because unlike Indycar they don't initially close the pits when the safety car is deployed. In F1 your aim is to pit after the safety car is deployed but before it picks up the leader and packs field.L9ve the idea of not throwing a caution immediatly if the driver/track is OK. It was another entertaining race on Sunday at Barber. Given the heavy emphasis on qualifying and difficulty in passing there was plenty of good racing action. The race running clean without too many disruptions by FCY really helps as it allows tire and fuel strategies to play out creating performance differences between cars.

Unnoticed by tv and commentary, Ilott had a storming last stint, having fuel saved early in the race, his last stint saw quite a few overtakes;

Managed to catch a re-run last night. As said, an interesting strategy race, if not a spectacularly exciting one. Arrow McLaren showing the way while Penske and Andretti seem all at sea. With Indy no longer giving double points many drivers are still in with a good shout including my shout for the championship, O'Ward.
