If Kanaan wins this I think I will have to request medial attention. I'm a little squiffy as I write this by the way, walked with Miss Badger to the local brewery/tap room between the Monaco GP and the Indy 500, and had a couple of pints of 8% beer. Maybe that helped me enjoy the national anthem a bit more!

Is the UK program hosted by individuals / commentators in the UK? Or is it a direct feed from the NBC television network in the US?
I've no opinion either way. Just curious.
It’s a direct feed from NBC, backed by a UK studio team for when NBC take a break every 10 minutes. I've no opinion either way. Just curious.

Both I think - They usually take the NBC feed but have some UK people for when the Americans have an ad break every 5 minutes.I've no opinion either way. Just curious.

Ha! I'm noticing a recurring theme in the responses here. Next January, be sure to pop in to the PH Super Bowl thread Interestingly enough: over here, the program does not cut out entirely during each and every advert break. Sometimes it does. Other times, the NBC network creates a split screen with the advert and the race side-by-side. At that moment the audio is on the advert.

They are getting better for the international viewers, they did have a woman in the pits who'd go through the NASCAR field during the US breaks. I think I'd find live TV in the US really annoying to watch.Interestingly enough: over here, the program does not cut out entirely during each and every advert break. Sometimes it does. Pretty slam dunk unsafe release you'd think

Why do they light up the tyres when leaving the pits? Seems that it would take a bit of life out the tyres and some of these drivers are incompetent of driving in a straight line.
No tyre warmers. So the tyres are cold, they want to get heat into them and they want to minimise time/place loss. g4ry13 said:

No tyre warmers so it's to get heat into them. WEC is the same this year and they can now light up the rearsGassing Station | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
