That race looked, er, interesting to say the least. On the one hand it looked a complete stshow, farcical and amateurish; on the the other the whole track was a concrete canyon and some drivers were punished for their mistakes in an era of get-out-of-jail massive run-offs.

Scouring the interweb, the people who turned up to watch in person had on the whole enjoyed the weekend, most were casual viewers.

I think the race has potential as long as they make revisions to track design such as the comically narrow section of left-handers as they come off and rejoin the bridge.

What an odd race! I wonder how many F1 cars would have survived that carnage?

Rooman Gooshon or Romain Gouson or Growman Rowson seemed to be pretty solid but ended up finishing outside the top 10. Had to look up the results as it was so chaotic, I thought Rossi was well into the top 10....apparently not.

Tom Gaymor.

He's not a bad commentator, he does alright on WEC and is doing OK on filling the commercial breaks on US TV.

Now they've sorted the sound it's much better.
He’s bloody awful, breaks are much better without the UK commentary fill in

I like the absence of blue flags. Leaders should be able to make their way past lapped traffic on skill.

Some decent onboard footage of Grosjean's first oval race at Gateway;

He seemed to do quite well and was putting moves on most of the field, shame the caution threw his strategy out of the window.

I don't think it was 'strategy' that caused his problem this time , he got penalised ( drive through ? ) for an unsafe release at a pitstop and at this track that was enough time to lose a lap (:
Could have been a top 5 otherwise but watching that video, no-one can say he's not brave smile. Was surprised at some of the 'chops' being used when drivers were basically along side overtaking......

I can't believe we've had nearly 2 full seasons with the new screens & no rain. I am interested to see how the screens perform when it's wet.

Laguna Seca race on now, such a great circuit - didn't realise this is the penultimate race already. Rossi has had a proper donkey of a season this year.

and unsuprisingly Sky have waited for indycar to start building an audience and then jammed adverts during a live race.

Pretty much killed it for me, Its just background noise now.

Thoroughly entertaining stuff from grosjean. He made that race. Pity there was traffic or that could've been close. No backmarker is going to try blocking him from this day on! Lol Post race interview should be fun.

When he has good days, Grosjean has very good days, whether GP2, F1 or now IndyCar. Today was a very good day.

His bad days can be something else.

Loved the commentators wondering what race control might make of that move and they said they were probably high fiving like us. Lol. Moments.

Was only half listening when Chief Penske guy was talking. Did they say not all races to be televised next year?
