Just watching Eyes on the Target and it's reminded me we're just three weeks away from the new season. Winner!

Good news; IndyCar starts in 3 weeks
Bad news; I have to restart my Now Sky Sports subscription a month earlier than I planned laughlaugh

Hmm, I just got a £20/month for 6 months offer from NOW for Sky Sports. Question is do I take it up to watch the first Indycar race or hang out for an offer that covers the whole F1 season?

I've still got a NOW subscription going on BT for the Entertainment package, so suspect I may not get that offer, as they don't need to entice me back frown.

First race of the season from St. Petersburg this weekend. Interesting to see how Grosjean goes against Herta. I`ll still be rooting for McLaughlin, just hope he`s got to grips with qualifying this year.

I like Pato a lot more after watching the interview after his McLaren F1 drive, his genuine enthusiasm was clear to see and his non-corporate answers were a pleasure to watch.

Is it just me or does the qualifying coverage seem frustrating after watching F1. They seem to try and capture everything at once but it ends up where you can`t get into a lap when watching as they jump to another car. I do like the top 10 predicted gap though, that makes it easier to see who is on a hot lap or not.

Away today and tonight, but have set the Sky to record the qualifying. Hopefully I can get home in time to watch that before the race.

Practice on right now, Spinnie Johnson a few times and Sato/Grosjean crashing into each other. Usual business.

Very reminiscent of the sort of accident F1 has been asking for in qualifying in recent years.

Grosjean on a fast lap running into a wall of slow cars all over the track, left with nowhere to go other than into the back of Sato.

Not good in practice though, the team should have told him to back off earlier. Don’t Indy use white flags on street circuits, to indicate slow cars ahead?

Am currently trying (and mostly failing) to watch Eng v Wales on TV and the live GT America from St Pete on YT.

Brilliant lap by McLaughlin for his first pole. Where did that come form?
