Come on over! If you fly in to Indy the flight path usually takes you close to the track. You get a good view from the RH side and it gives you a great idea of the scale of the place. I flew back in from Atlanta last week on a bright sunny day and it was a glorious sight. Plan to go next year if we can.
The atmosphere at the race is incredible as long as you don’t mind all the jingoism and religion. “Back home again in Indiana” hadn’t been the same since Jim Nabors died. You just need a plan for getting in and out because the traffic is a nightmare!
