That was a great race! Every time I see the Ginetta juniors race, I forget how young they are. When they do the interviews at the end I invariably think WTF?!?! that's them?! Most of them don't look like they should be out after 7pm and won't be shaving for several years, but they drive real cars like I drive in my head. Also rather proud that those cars are made down the road from me.

I think Welch broke a toe-link or trackrod end on the right front over the kerb rather than a puncture to cause the crash.

Yeah, o.s front wheel was flapping about before he hit the barrier.

It looked like something did break, the front right was steering towards the barrier.

3 fantastic races drama at every lap unexpected results all the way through the field. What a weekend for adam morgan 3 podiums solid weekend and closing in to a few points off the leader. Collard also showing he still got what it takes.

This is going to be a super close season we have a genuine 8 cars that could well be able to win the title neal/shedden/Jackson/Jordan/morgan/collard/goff/tordoff.

So we have 7 different winners so far and can see easy another 5-6 that could win a race the 2 other bmws will go well at croft the pair of subarus of turks and plato once running well will be able to get a win, eurotech could get a race win and aiden moffet think we could also see a record number of race winners this year.

4 week break now till oulton hope bmr can get to grips with the Subaru missing them from the front.

Can't help but think the Subarus are a step too far. They should've stuck with the VWs

Yep - honest mistake from Goff. I'm lacking in any sympathy when I see a Honda taken out though. Not like they've never knocked anyone else off...

A real shame for Dan Welch - he seemed to be on the pace of the others at last. Sounds like they're running on zero budget too as he's still not using the RML parts yet and was on used rear tyres that race.

Nope just a part that wasn't fit for racing and could have ended with a Subaru on fire again. The team found the fault with coles car and during the race gap to thruxton managed to get another set made which after inspection found signs of fatigue sensible thing for the team to do.

They getting a new inlet manifold and further testing before oulton so we should see them a lot more competitive there.

This weekend the vws were at the back of the grid. Old car now and a works backed team what would you prefer.

I've seen Neal's dad a few times being interviewed, the very first time I knew immediately where Matt got his dhead behviour from.

Good racing though, loved the Ginetta juniors, could barely get a cigarette paper between them at some points1 Excellent stuff.

Didn't he I mean steve neal gob off at the marshals back at Silverstone a few years ago when the Honda caught fire. Always seems like a bully to me can see where matt gets it from. Tbh im warming to shedden more and more as the years gone by neal on the other hand.

Great day, managed to avoid getting burnt to a crisp and got out the car park in 5 mins after a light jog back to the car from the pit straight.

Neal is an absolute bellend, not only does he cause chaos he has the cheek to mouth off after causing a huge collision.

As spectacular as it is, and I think tyres should wear to reward drivers that drive smoothly, they really need to make a tyre for hot days at Thruxton. That said some of the drivers were really hammering the kerbs.

Matt Neal's a sensitive soul. He tweeted an apology, I relied politely that I hoped the apology wouldn't prevent him getting a penalty and he's blocked me from viewing his tweets!

Brilliant day out in the sun at Thruxton, the Ginetta Juniors were epic, the BTCC was fantastically entertaining and even F4 was bloody good too!

Thought Jordan was far too keen getting back to the pits with the above puncture. Looked like he was going to collect the Proton of the unlucky Dan Welch, who it turns out crashed due to a broken bolt.

No pictures from me. I still have loads to sort out from Brands!!

Indeed.

I've warmed to Flash a lot from his drives at the Revival and his infectious enthusiasm for driving old stuff smile

Matt Neal was bellend decades ago, and 'maturity' hasn't changed him in the slightest.
