Not 100% sure why the baffle foam in my 5 year old fuel tank should be starting to break down.
I suspect something to do with ethanol. I have to replace mine now but it would be wise to check all is ok in your cars. I was getting very small particles of the foam in the lift pump filters.

The same thing happened to me. Standard problem in old tanks!

. . . and mine which caused me huge problems and DNFs a couple of seasons back. Installing a simple inline fuel filter has helped! biggrin

I use the glass in-line filters so you can see at a glance what's going on..........................
