Thanks for running the 2017 thread, you did a great job, astonishing that it's only 9 pages (just) for 26 races when one dreary F1 race can generate 40 pages (30 of them petty arguments wink ), I think difficulty in finding quality coverage plays its part but still surprising.

Remember to call it just 'Supercars' for the 2018 thread, looking forward to it already.

Cheers, Cheddar. thumbup
Coverage is easy - just pay £20 to the superview thing. It's great.

Loved every minute of this season - gutted it's over.

I think the coverage for those that didn't get Superview was still good if Motorsport TV weren't showing it Live they showed the full races the weekend after & it'll be the same in 2018.

Glad you liked the thread, oh yea the 2018 thread will be called V8 (with guest V6TT) Supercars biglaugh

Finally managed to watch the last race last night. I taped it from Motorsport TV and from lap 65ish on race 2 they had tech difficulties, when that finally cleared it showed the podium so I had to tape it again, good job Id already seen the spoilers on Facebook frown . Anyway, loved the final race and loved the whole season and looking fwd to next year!

I've seen 888 plan on running the Gen 2 next year, anyone know if other teams will be?

If it’s anything like the Falcons I’d expect 888 supplied teams to get the cars a few races later when more have been built up

I think 888 are only running one Gen2 car at selected rounds as a wildcard to further its development in 2018.

Don't think anyone else is planning on it yet.

I've always found 'supertaxis' has a nice ring to it.

More is the pity this series doesn't get more coverage apart from PPV, caught Bathurst highlights on the freesport channel late one night

Do you get Motorsport TV? If so they've shown every round this year & will be again in 2018.

Used to get it on freeview under its old guise of motors tv but think it has gone over to the dark side and PPV via virgin & sky

yes the superview has been a lifeline for me to watch them, before that had to rely on motors tv who used to love to cut the transmission short or the quality was appauling.
Have wanted to go and watch them for years, but the news that next year they dont have to be V8's was the push I needed,
Was there for this years bathurst & surfers events which were even better in the flesh than I was expecting, makes our btcc look kids playing and rather tame.
Just hope they have not 'killed it' by letting v6 turbos in, but then again when they went to COTF I Had a similar view, but I was really wrong
