hehe Oops!

Better than Evans though, starting the rally with a 5 minute penalty for changing the engine after shakedown.

wondering how he managed that at recce speeds clap

crap news for Elfyn. however could be a good thing for him as in he's now effectively let off the leash and can drive as he wants without having to worry about positions, hes pretty much driving to make up as much time as possible and to not drop out of top 10

The Otago Rally down here has taken a record 130 entries this year (including the likes of Markko Martin and Frank Kelly in Mk2 Escorts), NZ rallying is in good health!

Its my local round of the NZRC so I'm looking forward to it as always. smile

Looking forward to this one , hopefully Frank will benefit from his low seeding . Damn sight better to watch than the current procession on Fiesta R5s infecting national championships . Hope you enjoy it GB

Don't forget it's the Malcolm Wilson Rally in the Lake District on Saturday.

So, WRC Mexico has gone tits up! the cars only arrived back to service 90 mins before the start of the 1st stage after an accident on the way back from Mexico City closed the motorway for 6hrs!
Organisers are currently organising a new itinerary for the day, but SS2 & 3 are cancelled.

SS3 El Chocolate 2 isn't due to start until 16.14 local time (-6hrs UK time)

Probably old news by now but I read in the Motorsport News that Skoda are cooking up a 2018/19 WRC challenger...
Mikkelsen who we already know is back in the books but Gronholm has been spotted testing a Fabia R5 for no reason at all.

Hmm we will see about that, especially with the VAG Group potentially facing another multi billion dollar fine!

What an absolute farce, hopefully this is the last time a stunt like this is tried, after what also happened in Argentina a few years back.

I feel so sorry for the fans out on the real stages, who will only see a tiny field of cars once!

It won't take much work to build a Fabia WRC car given a Polo is already built.... and that way it could be homologated again.

anyone without WRC+ they are running a free month subscription, will cover Mexico & Tour De Course.

Gronholm likely testing for evo parts on the Fabia, wouldn't surprise me if we see a rebody of the development Polo. or they just use it as is while working on a new body for the Fabia WRC. if rumours are to be believed.

Meeke looking good at the moment, maybe Citroen weren't wrong saying the first 2 rounds were just freak rallies for them.

Meeke does have a very good road position, but it seems the car is behaving more consistently so far, which is the main thing.

Anyone off to Epynt tomorrow?

Bloody crazy!!

Fingers and toes firmly crossed for Kris to bring it home. I'll checked in as much as I can if I get any signal while up on the ranges tomorrow. My clubs running a stage so I'll likely be on timing duties so here's hoping for a smooth event, shame it's not got a better entry, but with the cancellation of the tarmac championship there's nothing for anyone to fight for.

Hoping so. I'm staying in Trecastle anyway and watching the weather. Supposed to be the Mrs first rally, but a wet and cold Epynt is a miserable place.

Well that was quite dramatic.

The onboard camera falling off made me think he was rolling it.

That was unbelievable. Watching it live made it extra crazy. Don't think Meeke can believe it either.
