A few minutes ago mentioned they were still working to remove drivers from cars in the safest manner.
Fingers crossed for both drivers that that is nothing more than being overly cautious.

Apologies - taken off from paddock and is now on the track at the scene along with multiple ambulances / marshalls / other support.

For those there without the benefit of TV, they've said Billy monger is trapped in the car, but conscious. Patrik Pasma has been to the medical centre and is ok.

ITV update - one driver out and ok; monger trapped in his car still but conscious. Given the speed of impact and the way the cars almost seem to fuse together, I can imagine it will be very difficult to remove him safely. As always, maximum respect to the medical and marshalling teams that make racing possible.

Was watching it live on tv, it's a mirical there both still alive, let alone one walking and both conscious. Testament to the strength of the cars and prompt medical service.

First driver is out an rd ok but one who hit him is still in car although reported as conscious. Wish him well, he had no chance to avoid the hit. Rather ironic given the amount of head banging contact going on in other series, hopefully it might make a few others get a little less demolition derby in their driving.

Anyone know how strong those cars are? I'm not sure if there's been an impact like that in those before. I'm worried about his legs in particular.

From their website.

The Mygale F4 chassis, which has also been supplied to the Australian, Mexican, Chinese and Malaysian markets, is designed around FIA F3 level safety requirements; including front and rear impact absorbing structures, anti-intrusion side panels, roll hoops, FIA head restraint system, wheel restraining cables, FIA safety seat and retractable steering wheel and column.

I'd be more concerned about head/neck injury, he's gone straight under the car and there's only one thing which protrudes from the cockpit!

Further TV update - still in the car. Though post above indicates that may be about to change.

Don't know if there was a complaint, but the stewards did take a dim view; Morgan penalised half a second for passing on the grass, and dropped down to eighth.
