You have to admire the lad. Humbling to see such commitment.
Agree 100%. Wish most of the F1 drivers could be so positive...
I would say many of them are; Johnny Herbert, Martin Donnelly and of course Alex Zanardi spring to mind.
I meant more from the current cohort who seem to whinge more than Mansell on a rainy day in Birmingham (Vettel, Grosjean, even Hamilton at times, etc).

The names you mention are very similar to Billy M and I hold them in high regard. Zanardi is hero of mine in terms of "you can succeed".

Quite a few over the years have had major accidents at various stages of their careers and returned to racing .
Nigel Mansell had spinal fractures, Niki Lauda had the last rites , Stirling Moss maybe didn't return to the top step but did drive again , in another discipline Ari Vattenen continued after a horrific smash which very nearly ended his life .
A certain type of fortitude is required to get to the top in motorsport it's not just skill alone .

I missed this news the other day that Carlin have been cleared to run a fourth car for Billy, hopefully he can get the finance sorted and we see him on the grid at Oulton.

Do you know if it is televised? Or shown at some point afterwards?

Lets hope he now gets a big sponsor to do the whole championship.

Can't think of a driver in any of the single seater tiers who will get more coverage than Billy this season, surely a no brainer on every level for a sponsor to step in?

Absolutely incredible!

The lad's pretty much had to relearn the controls of a car and on his first comeback race sticks it on the podium! It's only a matter of time now until a big sponsor wades in to give him the support he more than deserves!

I’m shocked that one hasn’t already.

Would be a great brand fit for someone like Nike, Virgin, Adidas, etc

Just got back from oulton. To watch Billy mongers drive to 3rd and then witness him walk round from scrutineering and on to the podium is a memory that will remain with me for a very long time. What a fantastic and inspirational young man. Go get em lad!!
