2nd race today was a reverse grid, so started 14th
finished 9th with fastest lap of the race.
That’s arguably an even better drive than the first race. Mid pack racing in any lower Formula like that is regularly nose to tail, and an F3 race isn’t that long to make up 5 places and have battles along the way. finished 9th with fastest lap of the race.
Billy was at Brands Hatch BTCC (brief interview on ITV4) and you can only think what a smashing young lad. He was buzzing for his mate Senna Procter and also supporting the F4 series.
His love of Motorsport just shines through, his attitude is brilliant and he comes across so well. A very inspirational man for someone so young and already having gone through so much.

Thanks for posting, I enjoyed that. Lewis seems to be genuinely impressed and supportive, giving the lad some tips. Nice to see.I hope Billy thrives and succeeds. I think we'll be hearing more and more about him in the coming years.

Me too. Like Zanardi, the boy is an inspiration. Having someone like Lewis as a mentor would be great. I hope Billy thrives and succeeds. I think we'll be hearing more and more about him in the coming years.
On Tuesday he was given a surprise chance to drive a modified Sauber C30 F1 car from 2011

Caught a brief glimpse of Billy in the Top ten shootout at Goodwood.
He does seem to be comfortable with the media exposure he recieves and presents himself and his sport very well.
I ,like many others really admire this incredible young man . With him and several of his friends and fellow competitors the future of British motorsports is in good hands .

I remember seeing the accident live (on TV). To see this lad "walking" around, and how positive he is, makes me quite emosh. I know he's had a lot of support, but fk me, the mental strength he must have to not have just given up is quite incredible.
He touches on the mental state side of things here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qevwIFI6ZGMTeppic said:

The kid is so positive he probably thinks of it as a weight advantage...
He actually has to run lead and in a place agreed by all in order to not have a weight/centre of gravity advantage. Sorry to be boring. Probably not as pronounced in motorsport as it was in combat flying, but take a long corner in high grip/downforce car and it might be noticeable

Haven’t watched it. Does Hamilton manage to resist the temptation to talk about his ‘struggle’? ChemicalChaos said:
However, if Douglas Bader was anything to go by, he will still have the advantage of better G Force tolerance as there's less body for the blood to drain into from his head.

They don't mind shorter, lighter drivers having an advantage so they should let him go with it tbh, same with the ballast.Probably not as pronounced in motorsport as it was in combat flying, but take a long corner in high grip/downforce car and it might be noticeable
Get him in F1 and see what the designers come up with when they've got even more packaging room. Although his team-mate might be a little cramped

Me too. I well up every time I see him. Such an amazing guy and he was grinning constantly at Goodwood last weekend. He was the one person there with whom I was desperate to have my photo taken. His timed run up the hill was bloody impressive too. PhillipM said:

I think it would send a great signal of inclusion for disability. He's probably got what, 15kg in his favour? Even allowing for extra weight of adaptations he will be ahead.
