I saw ,albeit on a big screen ,a similar crash in the German Carrera Cup at Hockenheim 2 weeks ago ,2 cars banging doors,

one goes across the front of the other and wallop.

I don't know why I took a pic of big screen.

Well that must be a contender for easiest exclusion of the year from Shedden.

Shedden is such a filthy driver, disgraceful carry on, already hit cook several times before breaking cooks suspension. He has been this way for years and getting away with it.

The two faced d1ck was saying on the grid interview that all he wants is nobody hitting him and clean racing

Yup always seems to get away with murder...first bashes the fords bumper in, then takes the rear end out. Ford did nothing wrong so sheddon should be penilised

Should be, bet he won't be though.

Generally shocking driving standards on display across all the series.

Wouldn't bank on it.

Why hasn't Sheddon been black flagged? Today was the first time I have watched touring cars in years due to the historic bumper car tactics of Neal and Plato. Really enjoyed the first two races, although I thought Moffet was a bit dodgy. And now race 3 has been tainted by crappy bumper car driving.

There was a heavier contact in race one when Jackson pushed Shedden out of the way, but both cars were luckier and didn't break.

That Porsche crash must've been an eye sore with 11 cars unable to restart.

Some drivers need their heads tested.
I found this on YT: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1yHOWGP4v-g

Sheddon clearly taking the piss, but after all this is BTCC and thats the sort of driving standards we've come to expect.

Commentators giving Moffat the benefit of the doubt, looked more on purpose to me, trying to shut down the other car.
Very lucky that the yellow Focus was parked further down - they might want to review parking cars on track like that.

Thing is, we all know and accept that rubbing, nudging and shoving (within reason) is all part and parcel of touring car racing, particularly the BTCC. But what isn't acceptable is when someone is driving a marvellous and skillful defensive race, but following a multitude of nudges and bangs, gets shunted up the arse so hard it snaps his wheel off.

I should rephrase my earlier reply so I don't sound like yet another one of the Armchair CofC / Shedden gets away with murder patrol.

If I was Shedden, hauled up for that, I know exactly what my defence would be.

He could claim that the fact that he always drives like this and always gets away with that it it's a precedent

Only possible defence, nothing about that should be acceptable

Can't think of another series why a car wouldn't get black flagged for bodywork flapping about

Harvety is a tireless advocate of BTCC and how brilliant it is, which is why he talks to much crap.

imho Sutton and Turkington should look to GT/Endurance racing. Turkington because BTCC doesn't deserve a driver of his calibre, Sutton before he gets tarred with the "BTCC driver" brush.

Looks like the Subaru has about the right amount of power if it can hold off those BMWs for so long.
