Loved their tool kit, a selection of lump hammers...
LOL yes. Seeing two guys holding a chunk of wood across the rear whilst a third hit it with a full sized long handle sledgehammer is something that will stay with me a long time. hehe

Nr.29 Audi R8 went to rain tires a lap earlier than the leading Nr.9 Audi R8
They've now overtaken the sister car with 10 minutes to go...

Brilliant last hour. They thought they had lost it with a borked stop but heavens opened at same time.

F1 eat your heart out.

Well, that was all quite dramatic! Looks like the messed up pitstop on the #29 Audi ended up winning them the race, giving them the change to re-think tyre choice and get back out on wets whilst everyone else was skating on slicks.

Can't doubt their commitment with the off-roading manoeuvre employed to overtake a few cars on the 2nd last lap eek

Straight out of the "you couldn't make it up" book for the #29 team. Some great racing and entertainment (especially once Haven is off mic). Good effort by Catsburg (I think) in the 98 slithering around to get 2nd.

Hopefully next year the Manta will make it to the end!

The LM 24hrs will have to go some to top that; best endurance race I've watched for some time.

O/H came with me a few weeks back to watch 'The Green Hell' at the cinema; having watched bits of the 24hrs this weekend she now wants to drive the 'Ring - a woman in a million!!

The Nurburgring 24 Hours just never disappoints; I thought last year was incredible - but I think this years ending just about beats it. #29 Land Audi has a problem and seems their hopes are dashed, and then a botched pitstop..but they throw on a set of wets as the rain is getting worse; and this wins them the race......Whoever made that call deserves quite a few German beers tonight!

Who cares about F1 when this race/ track serves up such drama.

3 pages of discussion here and 34 for the Monaco Grand Prix is just baffling to me! I know f1 is a lot more accessible and you kinda have to be a bit of a car bore to be into endurance racing, but this race is just fantastic with so much action.

Wow what a last half-hour. I was in garage 28 with the Astons but even though they weren't featuring for the race win everyone was just glued to the team (well apart from the guys on standby to change the tyres). Great result for us with car #7, the first of the non SP9/SP-X cars and beat a lot of much quicker stuff.

Love the N24 is completely bonkers.

That calibra was horrible tho. Sounded like the exhaust fell off and was back in the pits getting fixed (seemingly by just revving it loads). It was next door to us, really didn't need that going on at 4am
