Don't know if you got the support races on TV there? but the "Dunlop Super 2" races were 100 times more interesting than the main event. As were the Formula Fords, Saloon cars, even the Stadium Trucks!

Nissan are pulling factory support at the end of the season. Kelly Bros will still run them in 2019 though.

This thread has been ominously quiet! Still it's the big one this weekend, what are people's hopes/predictions for The Great Race?

And in other news, Walkinshaw/Andretti have announced they'll be running the Chevrolet Camaro from 2020 onwards.

Bonkers weekend, Bathurst coverage live for 10 hours a day on Fri/Sat/Sun, every support race including mental 1970's 700bhp+ Touring Car Masters.

On Sunday afternoon there's Bathurst 1000, Japanese F1 and Moto GP all broadcast live simultaneously!
Talk about spoilt for choice

1) Whincup
2) Mostert
3) Reynolds

I've not been keeping up to date as I wasn't really getting any feedback, in other news it looks like Lexus will enter the RC-F.

Bold choice but anything is bold when a race is 1000k's long

For me:
McLaughlin on the top step and others to follow

This might be my heart talking......

I want a Ford win but can't see it being a DJR car they don't seem to be able to get it together & I don't think Premat has the temperament for a long distance run but I may well be proven wrong.

For me the Whincup/Dumbrell are the strongest pairing & as long as they don't do there usual snatching defeat from the jaws of victory they'll win.

That will be interesting - the current model started in 2016 so should be due for replacement in 2021, which means they'll have one season with the car. Although given they bulk bought 550 Argentinian spec MY18 cars and have said publicly that RHD conversions on MY19 would require further investment, they may not even be selling Camaro in 2020. Just have to wait and see I guess.

As for this weekend, as long as a Holden wins I don't really mind who it is. Hopefully 888 1, 2, and 3 though.

LHD is rarely an issue for race cars, that said I'm not actually sure if the Supercars regs state the cars need to be rhd.

Having a Camaro on the grid can't do demand for them any favours especially as the Insignia/Commodore hasn't exactly been met with a positive response.

Anyone know how to watch Bathurst live in the U.K. this year?

Legitimately or... less-legitimately laugh

Motor Trend on Demand do a 14 day trial on the app and will be streaming the race live. Completely legit and can always cancel when you're done. Personally I'd say keep it, Roadkill and Roadkill Garage episodes alone are worth the £4.50 a month

Reynolds lap was an incredible display in how to peddle a car around mount panorama. If he hadnt had a little slide into the final chicane after the chase then he may have equalled scotty's lap from last year.

But the man of the session for me was Anton De Pasquale. Holy hell, what a lap. Second runner, and it took until dave reynolds to topple him form the top.

Betty Klimenko looked incredibly proud of her drivers and her team.

I haven't seen the lap yet that's a job for later, it's hard not to like Erebus as a team though, they have the proper underdog thing going on. Shame they didn't manage to get the Mercs up to speed purely because they sounded awesome, but it's hard to say the decision to buy a couple of Holden's was the wrong one.
