Good road position or not, that is an impressive first day by Loeb. Will be interesting to see if he can keep it up.
Sounds like some silly spins for Meeke, including a bit of gardening on a super special.
Evans is having a nightmare start to the year, surely his luck has to change soon?

Loeb has driven almost like he's never left! He seems to be really enjoying it and open at the end of the stage interview.
Toyota having a torrid time of it except Ott but can Jarri not catch a break or is he breaking the car? I reckon he's not easy on his motor as his cohort.
Elfyn was just unlucky but it's better to make sure Dan Barritt isn't damaged.
This is going to be another classic rally, especially when Loeb comes under pressure when the order is reversed.

Which cars do you suggest? Cars going down a stage won't always be taking the right lines or be the right width compared to a current WRC car.

Ok he was 17 minutes down, but Gus Greensmith in the top 10 has to be a fantastic result.
Solid job by Gus, drove to a pace and didn't make any major mistakes. The beginning of the end for me, I guess it's a good excuse to get as many WRC trips in as possible before this electric ste takes over in a few years time..

I think were still a long way off battery tech being good enough to last a full 3 day event. But it could be a positive step with the weirdy beardy save the planet brigades that try and ban all sorts of fun. If the cars can run on electric/hybrid power for the road sections the FIA will be reducing its carbon footprint and then we don't need shorter events to help this, we can go back to mammoth tests like Acropolis/Safari of days gone by
