Awesome, would love a blast in Mk2 like that!
It's not a surprise, but it is a shame that Chris Ingram winning the U28s on his 4wd, ERC debut had no recognition on here..

WRC events have a job getting interest; anything below is very rare, be it ERC or BRC. But it has to be said, people in 2018 want their motorsport available to watch live. Highlights late at night is no longer cutting it. One of the reasons rallying fortunes have fallen.
The weekend before last saw Sebring 12 hours and Goodwood Members meeting both streamed live, and free. Similarly, the weekend just gone had the VLN round 1, all live and free.
Somehow, the sport needs to find a way to provide free coverage......Easier said than done.

It goes quite well with 300bhp and a very handy driver, last run of the day with well worn rear tyres so plenty of sideways fun.Spent most of the day spectating, photo album here: https://flic.kr/s/aHsmd4QBfm
You get an interesting variety of cars at club events here.

The WRC? That is usually on channel 5 on a Tuesday at 7pm.
I see the lateness issue on the last stage has been resolved.

Not a surprise , it was always going to happen, and probably rightly so, but at the end of the year. But, I have a slight problem with it - some drivers have gained from it, and from now on, other drivers can't. That is basically a rule change......in the middle of the season. Hmm....
However, this should have been sorted when the Power stages was introduced - but, as is usual, the FiA are reactive, rather than proactive.

I had to chuckle at that article; you'd think the BRC was in rude health......(then again it is David Evans....Rally PR man)

Just read Kris and Paul's account. Paul called a fast 5 left when it should have been a 3, the onboard wasn't on WRC+ last time I checked for myself but it sounds like an honest mistake. They were speaking of intercom issues yesterday as well.
If you look at Meeke's reaction pretty much as they're going off it's clear that it was a wrong call, I actually though he called it as a right rather than a left as you can hear Meeke say "Right?" in a sort of WTF tone.said it before, much as meeke is a likeable fella, his colin mcrae sh*t or bust approach is not going to win anything in the modern era.....its a matter of time before citroen cry enough.
I'm at a loss as to why they haven't given breen a full season as I think he has great potential. He has the speed like meeke but also has control which gives him a points finish. I fear meeke wont work this out until its too late.

Citroen can only afford to run 2 cars; so the chance to run Loeb in a few events was supposedly manna from heaven for them - unfortunately, that meant no outings for Breen, which seems highly unfair. You'd have to question just how committed Citroen actually are if they can't afford to run a 3rd car. Ostberg's outing in Sweden was likely as a 'pay drive'.Gassing Station | General Motorsport | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
