BT Sport ESPN appear to have a 2hr show tonight at 9pm - presumably highlights

I don't think it is possible to legally watch qualy outside the US frown

Something to do with ABC having the rights and streaming it on their own channel, which of course isn't available outside the US

Hinch out - that is a surprise ! Not so unexpected is that Pippa Mann failed to make the cut too

Yes - one of the odd Indy rules is that it is the car which qualifies, not the driver.

I don't think Hinch will be happy doing it, but taking over Howard's car is probably the only way to keep his championship hopes alive. He's currently lying 5th in the championship, but the double points for Indy 500 would put him well down the ranking if he doesn't run. Howard only does the 500, so isn't concerned by championship standing

Ive always found it strange how there’s no gap after the 500 to allow people to catch their breath. Given the month of build up, hype and anticipation it seems a shame that there’s not more time allowed to savour the moment before they are off again.
Yes, and not just one but two races this weekend, then another next weekend !

Well that's not a good start - pace car in the wall on the first warmup lap

Senior Chevrolet exec was the guest driver - I suspect it'll take him a while to live it down biggrin

Yes - I like the livery on the Schmidt cars - same basic layout but different colours

Yes - there's a lot more flexibility in terms of sponsorship and drivers than in the over-rigid FIA controlled world

Good win for Rossi, with a brave 2 stop strategy. It really can't be long before Wickens wins though

Will have to wait for the race to be posted on Youtube - my BT TV box threw a wobbly and all it recorded was a highly pixellated rainbow frown

Yes - the last 10 - 20 laps trying to figure out who would need to pit for fuel to make it to the end was quite tense smile

Provisional 2019 calendar published. Interestingly it includes COTA, so for the first time we'll have a comparison between Indycar and F1 laptimes on the same circuit ( assuming the same configuration is used ). One less oval race next year too
