Not related to the drivers or BTCC races but it seems Renault have pulled the plug on the Clio cup

That's a shocker ,Renault have had a one make series constantly since the 1970s ,with the Renault 5.https://www.autosport.com/btcc/news/140722/renault...

As soon as EXCELR8 announced their BTCC entry, the prospect of MINI Challenge replacing Clio Cup moved a step closer imho. Wouldn’t be at all surprised to see F56s replace the Clios.
In other news, AMD pairing Tordoff and Rory in what appears to be the ex-Eurotek Civics
be a good tie up for BMW too having the mini as a support series. In other news, AMD pairing Tordoff and Rory in what appears to be the ex-Eurotek Civics
I’m still lamenting the loss of the Clios but it’s a worthy replacement.
Reading the article it seems that the JCW class will be at 8 rounds and the Cooper challenge (for the R50s) at the remaining 2, how that split is done isn't announced yet but I'm calling Croft and one of the Thruxton rounds.

Didn't we have R50 Minis at Knockhill one year. I'd have thought that would be a round for the Coopers if there's a significant Scottish element to join in.Reading the article it seems that the JCW class will be at 8 rounds and the Cooper challenge (for the R50s) at the remaining 2, how that split is done isn't announced yet but I'm calling Croft and one of the Thruxton rounds.
