Has anyone else being following the apparent career cliff that Santino Ferrucci appears to have thrown himself off of?

https://twitter.com/SkySportsF1/status/10160480226...
https://twitter.com/trident_team/status/1016022176...

Deliberately crashing into his team mate on the slowing down lap
Mocking his team mates accent (as was his father)
driving whilst on his mobile in the padock
ignoring the stewards meeting

its totally crazy

Looks like he will lose his drive with trident and his develpment role at Haas

I hope so, there is being a bit of an idiot and then there is this guy, it's not like he is 10 and in karting, not that that would be excusable anyway!

Far more deserving talents out there imho.

I was going to post something about this guy but stopped myself because in this day and age, press coverage, 'clicks' and 'hits' are power and I'd rather not give tts like this the oxygen.

Surely in this case there is such a thing as bad publicity?

Certainly I don't want to see him progress, quite the opposite. Makes you wonder how he and his Dad got as far as they did.

I think that's over the top.

He's a young man who made a series of very high profile mistakes this weekend.

I hope he learns his lesson and conducts himself better on his return.

Even asked to run "Trump - Make America Great Again" stickers on his car, despite FIA rules clearly forbidding political statements. Trident apparently told him this, but he refused to accept it and they had to get written confirmation from FIA that it wasn't allowed.

Nah I'm ready to brand him a bad egg and hope that one of the hundreds of friendly, affable, well-adjusted young men and women who would give it all for his opportunity get to enjoy that privilege instead of Ferrucci.

I'd never heard of him before last weekend's chenanigans.

Thought with a name like that he is Italian, nope American.

Just read he's offered sincere apologies.

Personally I was ready to set fire to Dan Ticktum's Licence in front of him a few years ago...

Fined €66,000, banned for 2 races, dropped from Trident Motorsport, maybe dropped by his management team (TBC). https://www.autosport.com/f2/news/137497/trident-f...

Needs dropping from Haas but looks like he has friends in high places.

What a clown. I fully expect F1 to ignore all this and let his career advance, whilst simultaneously banning grid girls for being "offensive and not in keeping with the brand and sport's values."

He still shouldn’t be racing again, now or ever.

Fortunately the Red Bull management see things differently and are keen to support Dan in his career.

For some reason (probably sponsorship money from whatever Cly-Del is) he's been signed to Indycar for the last 2 races of the season. Somehow he's also still with Haas F1 as a development driver.

When he ran in Indycar before, he crashed out of the first race, then crashed and finished a lap down in the second.

I don't understand.
