Without a big incident, it should go to Colin's way in the end, as there could be several other cars qualifying well with less weight and going all-in, picking up big points in the process. No wonder no one has done it yet with similar points gaps.
But a bit of a change in the standings is what most of us would prefer to see.

I am going tomorrow with my son. I have never been to Brands Hatch before and I have not managed to find details of viewing areas other than in the stands (I don't have stands tickets). Any any recommendations as to good viewing areas / which was to head would be much appreciated.
Start the day watching at Paddock or Druids ,the first 2 corners. As it's on the full circuit ,take a walk out onto the GP loop and see cars at full chat on the main straight ,Westfield and then come
back to the Indy circuit at Clearways.
The excellent views at Dingle Dell ,Sheenes and Stirlings are now fenced off and there is also a lot more high fencing
than there used to be.
Enjoy...
Great to see that ITV are streaming this afternoons BTCC support races, first time i think they've shown the support races after qualifying.
Awful accident in the Clio race, barrier is destroyed, thankfully everyone is ok. I wonder if that will now see more catch fencing added to the GP loop because they were lucky the car didn't go over the barrier and into the trees.

Around Paddock Hill bend, on the infield they usually have a big TV screen when the BTCC is using the GP circuit. Also two on The south bank but Paddock with TV is good viewing. I'm going too, I usually take a walk round the track when the supports are on to see from different areas but usually go back to paddock for the BTCC.

That's a scary crash, very high speed out the back, and as said above lucky the car didn't go over and looked like bouncing off the barriers into a mid air roll reduced a lot of the energy before hitting anything solid (like the ground!). Glad to hear driver ok.rallycross said:
last BTCC qualifying the grid top 26 covered by only 0.5 sec! (Silverstone national is a shorter track).
Silverstone lap is only half what Brands GP is.Edited by rallycross on Saturday 29th September 23:50
So 24 cars covered by less than a second at Brands GP is hugely impressive
