Would have loved to have been there, but £30 a ticket for the family is a bit steep.

Instead, we joined a few other TVR owners at a gathering over the other side
of the fence at Silverstone TVR for a rather excellent BBQ.

Yep, an excellent race with a blinding result! Those DBR9s looked awesome although I was worried at one point that Pedro Lamy was gonna lose patience with Darren Turner and get by him via 'route one'. Mind you, DR wouldn't have been too chuffed...

LNT went well to pick up a 3rd place. Their car didn't seem to be a patch on the Gruppe M GT3s today though.

BTW, am I the only person who thought the MC12s looked ugly?

Now I'm even more excited about Le Mans!

The Moslers showed a decent turn of speed today, too... Shaun is the only driver who can get anywhere near the GruppeM Porsches.

The Astons were very impressive, which is exactly what you'd expect from a works team.

The crowd seemed pretty big today from where we were - was it big in the spectator areas, too?

Yes, it was! I was gobsmacked at how many people were there at 8.30 when arrived. I didn't see any promo for the race other than in Autosport so I can only summise all these people watch Sky or Eurosport or whatever channel it's normally on!

Shaun & Jamie were without doubt the quickest Moslers out there. Nice sounding too!

Huge flames from the moslers! Not sure about the sound though...

Did you get any pics of the 360 Challenge race trackside?

Great entertainment from them, and the sound

I got a few of the Ferraris but they're not that good. Agreed that they were good entertainment, shame about the black and white one that slammed into the barrier half way down the back straight. Ouch!

Note to self. Buy digi-SLR and stop skimping with a compact! C'mon white_van_man, lets see yer pics...
