First stage (only a very short special stage) is this evening at 19:08 GMT. Live on BT Sport.

Should be a cracking Swedish Rally.

Info for anybody who is planning to attend the event. Should be good, looks a pretty decent entry. Probably off to Alwen for both runs, and then possibly the 2nd run of Gwydyr in the evening.

Here's hoping! looked like the car got out of shape over the compression and the soft bank sucked them in. Fair play they sat there looking quite cool while the speccys did an awesome job extracting them thumbup he came back and set 4th fastest after that.

I had no problem watching it live on BT sport extra. On live now as well.

No problem for me either. Looks like it's on live all day. Not bad for £5 a month.

Ogier finally had an off! Great chance for Nevuille and Tanak to get an early lead as he doesn't do it often!

Quite an eventful day!

Glad to see Meeke kept his head after stalling on the line this afternoon. He looked a bit ragged for a few corners and I feared the worst!

First stage of the day in 30mins time at 06;44. Neuville just had no pace yesterday, tanak needs to clean up in this one now.

Slow speed corner. Who would have thought his first WRC win would evaporat that way.

Tanak pressure.. will be an interesting midfield scrap now, will Evans get on the podium? Great effort if he does.

Saturday morning a bit early to be handing Suninen the win with all that experience chasing behind him.

Tanak now with a decent lead but one wrong move and a session in a snowbank and all change possible.

Bit unlucky for Suninen, especially after seeing Mikkelsen escaping a snow bank on the last one!

Tanak's event to lose now, though conditions are far from easy. They really do need to move to somewhere where there is guaranteed snow, they can't put up with gravely/slush stages for much longer can they?

Meeke still going smile

Neuville seems to be losing his head a lot more this season. I think it could potentially be his title to lose.

Perfect rally for Tanak. Ogier actually shows us he is human after all...
What happened to meeke this rally?

Anybody go the BRC Cambrian Rally?? Enjoyable day out in Alwen; with a good entry including approx 20 R5 cars - and the cars park was packed; with plenty of spectators. If the other BRC rounds can pull in a similar entry things are looking up.

As for the International Swedish Rally; very good from Tanak - a controlled, fast & mistake free run to victory in conditions which looked poor. Meeke drove a sensible event in a new car; and picked up sixth place. It would have been too easy to drive faster, and get caught out by the snowbanks - and lost time. He needs finishes and seat time to feel comfortable in all conditions/ surfaces. So, job done.
