Feel for Elfyn, pity about the impact of punctures on a few this W/e, makes you wonder what the outcome would have been if we could still use mousse, Mäkinen seemed to be rueing the lack of it when interviewed on RBTV.
With the modern events being so short, a puncture completely ruins your event; I wouldn't be against bringing mousse back - but I'm sure there are reasons why it won't happen.I have to say, the leader running at the end of the top runners on Tarmac is more likely to pick up a puncture due to the debris dragged out by people ahead; just doesn't seem fair - all that hard work gone through no fault of your own.

Absolutely gutted for Scott and Elfyn! A brilliant performance which deserved so much better, and must have changed a few people’s opinions!
Yes, seriously impressive over the weekend. Watched the replay of the puncture incident, nothing he could do really. Surprised that no-one else hit it.RyanTank said:
I wanted to go with Evans in 3rd but I’m just not sure the Fiesta is up to the job against the Yaris and c3 which we know was good on tar last year in meekes hands!
Would love to see his confidence continue here this weekend tho
Never have I been so pleased to be wrong! Still working my way through the weekends coverage but obviously couldn't avoid all social media so know what happened to Elfyn. How unlucky considering the cars ahead apparently took the same line and all came away unscathed? Would love to see his confidence continue here this weekend tho

Agree with this. It looks like it was a small, shallow pothole that was the culprit and all the cars ahead going over it caused it to cut up enough to damage Elfyn's wheelGreat weekend! Paddon took a dominant overall victory as expected, with Ostberg winning the classics to make up for breaking the car last year.

It does look like a bloody good event!
We are off to Sweet Lamb tomorrow for the Rallynuts Stages. Looks like a decent entry and the weather isn't supposed to be too bad either!
Yes, was a good event; was bright & sunny, but with a very cold wind, and there isn't much cover there. A shame they couldn't use the Bowl area, but that was in use by KTM for their rider days. Went for a walk further into the stage for the second run, and saw a Fiesta R2T lose it over a bump and go off....We are off to Sweet Lamb tomorrow for the Rallynuts Stages. That wind was savage, really wasn’t prepared for it! Fortunately we were able to find a spot in the afternoon which was more sheltered! We also saw an R2 Fiesta go off, was it at the top of this hill?
