Definitely will be watching the race, the last one was great fun. I love that the races are late, so you actually have time to watch them when the kids are put to bed. F1 races at 14.00 is impossible, it takes up the whole day.

Here in Sweden it was ad free, though on a very expensive sub incl f1. Cant stand us commercials, so im glad it is..

Yes, Sunday evening races are perfect. Stretches the weekend out nicely. Hope the ads have been sorted too.

This is amazing, I love it. Also Adelaide... woohoo it pisses all over the Melbourn bore fest even 20 years after it got dropped by F1 (even with this short layout).

I enjoyed qualifying you can see these don't corner as fast as the F1's but I enjoy the noise it definitely adds to the spectacle as does the fact that they move around more where they don't have as much aero.

Also understanding qualifying made it better too.

BT Sport lost the UK broadcast rights, so it won't be on any of the BT Sport channels.

Sky Sports F1 picked up the rights for the UK and will show all of the races exclusively this season, including the Indy 500.

Utter piss-taking with track limits at the penultimate turn. I know Indycar have said that they aren't enforcing track limits at this race, but it seems to have given the drivers the freedom to design their own racetrack.

Sky are halfway here with the not cutting away in line with American advert breaks, however they really do need to employ a couple of studio based UK commentators to take up the coverage when they go off.

Just an observation - look how much they are having to actually drive & wrestle the cars!!

Yeah it's ridiculous, although I kinda get why they've done it, but the simplest solution to track limits is just to make it grass. That's all they need to do! Worldwide. Just have a kerb, then grass, then high grip tarmac run-off/gravel for safety.

They are not as planted as F1 and look a handful. Do they refuel for added excitement?

No, all part of the fuel strategy and smaller fuel tanks so they can’t go the full distance

Pat O'Ward was very good in the Race of Champions earlier this year. He beat some very experienced racers there.

I've never seen a racing car behave so badly on bumps. They must have a shockingly bad damper setup.

I think I spotted a refuelling episode then a quick squirt of liquid rinsing. They might have their own Verstappen in that Herta rookie chap.

And yet they cope perfectly well on bumpy street circuits that would shake F1 cars to pieces....

Bloody good race so far. It appears you can actually overtake around a tilkadrome
