It’s basically team America, even Matt Damon is there.

Christian Bale is probably wondering what the fk is going on.

Quite. The Americans really know how to stretch these things out.

I went to the Indy500 in 1995 and I can't remember there being as much ste as this

exciting start, shame there is no Alonso to cheer one, Tom Gaymore is a good commentator.

Am I the only one thinking Indy was trolling Mclaren with their choice of balloons? :-p

Wow, that's good for the environment. Another few thousand balloons up and into the countryside.

I think Helio being in the slow lane (wrong) distracted Davison and made him miss his pit.

I think 33 cars and 300000 hicks in pickup trucks will probably be of a higher concern

Can't imagine there's a great deal of veganism or reusable coffee cups going on either! Probably more CO2 coming out of all the fizzy drinks than the vehicles.

Unless you're Pagenaud - just sailing along at the front.

It's ironic that taking a lot of the downforce off the Indycars has led to less overtaking!

Still, some of the oval races were getting silly with the old aero kits, with so much overtaking it made it kind of meaningless.

Got a feeling about Rossi for this one.

My money's on Dixon - if he can keep on saving fuel, he'll be able to short fill AND wind it up towards the end.

Impressed with Ericsson and Ferrucci thus far. Get the feeling several people are biding their time before winding up for a run at the end.

ETA - so looks like I've just cursed Ericsson...

I was thinking Rossi until then! Fascinating to see the fuel games play out.
