BTW,

if somebody cares to send me some black or dark blue PH stickes, they may well find some space on the Elise!

Trackside,

We all really enjoyed the weekend (although the rain on Saturday proved somewhat daunting for all the drivers).

Sunday's 5 hr endurance race was great fun for all of us. And I guess the entertainment on the track was great for spectators and competitors alike. Such poor luck for the TopCat team having to retire after running such a great race. And respect for the team for coming over to congratulate the other teams after the race: TopCat and TopChaps !!

I was expecting to see someone from the Guiness book of Records in the pit lane towards the end of the race: "How many punctures can one car have in 5 hrs ?" Barry Horne must have been turning the airwaves blue !

Talking about airwaves blue.... yes Calum was putting a spirited drive in. And yes there were a few of those ....."Oh S**r" moments out there. How he gets away with wearing a white race suit is beyond all of us. Unfortunately I didn't see much of the race from the pit wall as I had my head burried in a laptop as we monitored fuel consumption etc throughout the race. The 'splash and dash' seemed to be on the cards but in the end was not required..... must have been Calum 'taking it easy' !!!

And Nigel/Ian's Topgun type drive through the pits certainly had us all guessing right at the end of the race.....

The weekend was made even more enjoyable with our driver/team-owner, Bo, sorting out the Taurus Motorsport hospitality bus for the paddock. Very 80's 'Glam Rock' with the tinted windows & leather rest area upstairs. I bet it could tell a few stories....and probably more DNA in there than Scotland Yard's forensic lab!!

Great pictures yet again. Glad you enjoyed it. See you at Brands.

Great pictures once again trackside! Did you manage to get any of the Britsports race?

I was driving a black radical prosport (no.14)with my dad. We retired from race 1 on saturday from 2nd in class with a electrical problem, then came from the back of the grid to finish third in class and 5th overall on Sunday

Nutskie, thanks for the comments. We had a lap on Lockie and co so to have the failure with only 35mins to go was a kick in the gonads but always congratulations to the victors - respect where it is due.

Our Blue car was putting in 13's and the Silver 12's so though we might not have looked that quick I think it's safe to say we were 'on the pace'

Bit of work on both cars but we'll be back at Brands and looking for that top step again, we'll keep the cars different colours to avoid confusing Henry F and his grey Beatle!!

Huge comiserations to Top Cats for coming oh so close to a superb win. None of the Marcos drivers looked that quick but it just goes to show what 3 quick and equally matched drivers can achieve.

d_drinks, so close etc...

Cheers Trackside, some great pics there. It's good to find out why the splitter was chamfered so much on the offside compared to the nearside. Will be having words about that, after Brian's efforts to get the thing on there and in the right shape and all!

Also, if the rumours from the weekend are true '06 is going to be awesome in Britcar....

Aha, so would this be linked to the story in Autosport today (26th May) regarding the British GT series and it's impending tyre deal? If so, and the stories carry substance then indeed Britcar will be a storming series (championship??) next season! Looks like James Tucker has got an ace up his sleeve called Dunlop...

Some great racing. ProductionS1 is like watching live GranTurismo4 and Britcar is always a treat - I personally love seeing Simon/Randy's Elise mixing it with the GT3's and Aussie V8's - shame the Astra DTM was not there

OK so here are some more photos from Me and Tap. Tap was there both days, and both of us were there on Sunday. Enjoy and follow the link on the site if you want prints or could use images for promotional purposes.
